C3422WE, built-in camera very grainy

I have a new C3422WE monitor connected to my pc via display port and usb 3.0 to my PC. The webcam is detected and shows up as Dell RGB Camera and Dell IR Camera. The image is much grainier than I expected, to the point it looks like it is not operating correctly. I have adjusted light high and low, downloaded and installed new firmware, the Dell Display Manager, updated video drivers (Nvidia 1080), on latest Windows 10 updates.

Is this just how this build in camera is? If so, its almost not worth having, I'm going to have to order something separate.
