3008WFPt, separate power for speakers?
I just bought a used 3008WFPt monitor and I want to use the monitor speakers but there is no sound.
I tried two different ways, first I connected the monitor to the DOCK station via HDMI cable, then I connected the monitor directly to the laptop via HDMI cable, but still no sound.
On the back left side of the monitor is the DC power port for the speaker, do I need a separate power supply for the monitor speakers?

Yes, 3rd party external speakers need their own AC power adapter.
Also open the Menu- Other Settings -Audio Configuration and choose 2. See page 22.
#2 is only power for the Dell Soundbar
#3 Top port is for 2.0/2.1 external speakers
#3 Bottom port is 5.1 external speaker
#4 is for 5.1 center/subwoofer
