xps13 9300 with 32GB not available with Ubuntu

After several weeks of delay, xps13 9300 with 32GB has finally arrived! My heart literally stopped to bit for a few seconds while a big big smile was slowly appearing on my face. Not for long unfortunately, because when I selected 32GB only windows was available!! my heart stopped to bit again and I guess my face became pale from fury...

is this a joke, dell??

only the very weakest configuration options are available after selecting ubuntu: laughable 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, i5 CPU... that's like my config 11 years ago... after some unintuitive clicking it is possible to get it to 16GB RAM, but that's what I've been having for 7 years now and I came here specifically to increase this amount finally...
