SD cards are write protected

I am trying to format an SD card, but it is saying that it's write protected. I attempted to do this with multiple SD cards, and I had the same problem. I looked all over the internet on how to delete write protection. I tried the switch on the card, checking properties, commands, regedit, and computer management. Nothing is working. My computer is also recognizing and not recognizing the sd card off and on the whole time its plugged in.

Some info about your system type, specifically, and the cards you are trying to use.  How are they formatted, are they pushed all the way in, where they used in prior systems, how large, etc..

The more info may allow someone to see the problem.

My computer is an Inspiron 15 5000 Series. Multiple kinds and sizes... From 2 GB to 32 GB. Both SD and SDHC cards. Sandisk, Centon, Dan-Elec, Sony, etc. They are pushed in all the way.

I formatted one of them with a Toshiba computer that worked. My computer still said it was write protected. I used a majority of them with the Toshiba computer, and they don't say that they are write protected on that computer. I could access the security tabs on most of the SD cards with the Toshiba, and even though I gave all permissions to all users, I still couldn't delete things, back things up to another SD card, or format them on my Dell.

I have exactly the same problem with my dell xps 15 9550. All SD cards seem write protected in my device. I tried every solution on the web to remove write protection but nine of them worked. In fact i can open the same sd cards on other computers and am able to format them. But in my laptop it always says they aer write protected. I can read from the sd cards correctly however.
