Screen been stood on, How much can I expect for repair/replace?

Well my girlfreind stood ontop of my XPS 1530 which I purchased just over a month ago at just under £1000 (to say im fuming is a under statement) and upon turning it on there are multiple mutli coloured lines going verticly down the left hand side of the screen (about 1/6th across) and a huge black area at the bottom (see picture).

Im just wondering how much I can expect to pay for a repair, or If my warrenty will cover it (doubtful, Im sure I didnt get accidental damage warrenty).

Thanks, if anyone needs any more information Ill do my best to provide it.

If you don't have the complete care warranty, you are out of luck. Sorry.

I guess Dell will not be able to add Dance Floor to the features of their laptops!

Since you don't have accidental coverage, call Dell and talk to their out of warranty department. They'll give you a price. If I had to guess, it's probably a few hundred dollars.

Expect somewhere between the equivalent of $400-600US, depending on whether it's a conventional CCFL screen or an LCD screen, and depending on the resolution.

You might want to watch eBay.  There's one on right now for $191.24.  I've seen them cheaper, though.
