PA-10 AC ADAPTER 9T215

I needed a PA-10 AC adapter p/n 9T215 to use with a docking station for my D600 when I work at home so I bought one off e-bay.  It turned out to be a different model# [NADP-90KB] then the one I use at work [PA-1900-02D] and I get an error message about not being able to identify adapter and I have to use F1 to turn off my laptop.  So basically the adapter I bought doesn't work with the docking station but if I plug it directly into the laptop it works fine.  I know that the docking station needs a 90W vs the laptop only needing a 65W and that both of these adapters are 90W but does any one know why model# NADP-90KB doesn't work on my docking station even though the two adapters are suppose to be interchangeable? The seller on e-bay says he's not responsible for compatibility but I'm thinking that there's something else wrong with the adapter he sold me.  Help, please!!

Hi,

A different part number can be because of a different brand. ( supplier ) Have a look in Bios at the battery page. It will show the wattage of the adapter. If it doesnt say 90 watts with the new one, it is faulty. You may be able to swap them, or return the new one.
