numeric and symbols appear when typing then laptop shuts down
Inspiron laptop under a year old
I am having spuratic problems when typing in any application (word, excel, Web). At times numeric characters mainly starting with 65 with dashes, accent, and equals sign appear. Cursor moves all over the place then the laptop will turn off. I try to reboot and it continues to turn off.
I am thinking it may be an issue with my keyboard but not sure.
Any thoughts??

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. I suggest you first try running Diagnostics on your hard drive. Press the F12 key at the Dell Logo, select Diagnostics and run an extended diagnostics on your hard drive. Post back with error codes.
I also suggest you try working in safe mode, press the F8 key at the Dell Logo, select Safe Mode and try working on this mode to see if it shuts down.
