Must Upgrade Wifi Card
I have an Inspiron N7110, which came with an Intel centrino N 1030 wireless network card. Intel just updated the drivers for the 1030 on all OS's except windows 10. My internet connection goes on and off constantly. I found a pretty short list on intel.com of windows 10 supported drivers:
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
Intel® Wireless-N 7260
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7265
Intel® Wireless-N 7265
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 (64-bit only)
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265
Intel® Wireless Gigabit 11000
I'm hoping someone knows if any of the above wifi cards would be fit for a replacement of my 1030.

I was hoping the Service Manual would indicate that, but it doesn’t seem to. This thread shows pictures of them side by side though, so if you want to open up your system, you can see which you have: communities.intel.com/.../60858
Mini PCIe = HMC, which Intel identifies with HMW in the model name.
M.2 = NGFF, which Intel identifies with NGW in the model name.

If your N7110 uses a Mini-PCIe slot, the best card you can get is the Intel 7260AC, but make sure you get the HMW version, not the NGFF version. If your system uses an M.2/NGFF slot, I would recommend the Intel 8265.

Thank you! Can you tell me how to determine what kind of slot I have?
