Laptop Display on External Projector
I have an Inspiron 6400 laptop with a projector connected to the external VGA connector.
I press + to cycle through the three display options: internal only, both, external only.
Internal only and external only work fine. But, when I set to both, the external projector just shows a blank desktop. I would like the projector to show the same image as is on the internal display.
Please advise.

You need to go into your video settings and set the second display to clone, not extend desktop.

Thanks.
It took me a while to find the "clone" setting, but I finally found it, and now things are working the way I want.
There were two options for the clone setting:
Monitor + Notebook
Notebook + Monitor
What is supposed to be the difference between these two? I couldn't detect any.
