Keyboard Key Popped Off

I popped a key off of a Latitude D820 and can't figure out to put it back on.  The one keyboard FAQ thing doesn't look like my key.  My key has a plastic piece snapped on the back of the key and I have a black square thing and a white U piece that somehow has to go together.  Anybody know how to reassemble this?  Dell says I need a new keyboard!  Thanks!

Dell is correct. You will need to buy a new keyboard.

This (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd820/en/sm/keyboard.htm#wp1084976) says that keycaps are time-consuming to replace, indicating that you do not need a new keyboard.

In my experience, you carefully align the cap over the underlying mount and press down. It snaps into place. Look to see how the features mate up before you do this.
