How to data transfer through USB cable
sir, I have USB-USB cable whose specification are as follows :
Lonsy USB 2.0 cable 28AWG/1P+24AWG/2C 80 digree celcious 30V made in china. Its both end has USB structure like a pendrive.
I want to transfer large number of files from one laptop to another (approx 250 GB) . I have bought it from shop asking about cable for file transfer between two laptops but when i connect , it doesn't respond anything.Plz help me .......

I do not believe you can transfer data across a usb cable. You have to transfer data to a usb flash drive or a usb external hard drive and then connect the usb device to the other computer. You may be able to transfer data via what is called a network crossover cable though. I do not know how to do it, but maybe someone could chime in with the instructions.

There are many sites which discuss this and sell cables like this. Sorry for the confusion, we all must have misread the the amount of data you had.

Sam above is correct. The other option is to transfer using your router. You need to have sharing enabled on both computers. The flash drive is by far the easiest and cheapest, and you can keep it loaded as a back-up for the photos,

I understand sir, it means the cable which i have bought is useless for me. i can't use flash drive because it takes lots of time and i have no external hard drive . i have to directly transfer a very large amount of data(approx 250-300 GB) to another laptop with no time.
can you tell me which type of network crossover cable should i buy so that it helps to solve my problem in fastest way and what should i check on the cable packet at the time of buying it ?
