Everything on the screen is sideways or upside down

Hello,

I have a new Inspiron laptop and lately when windows starts up, everything on the screen is either sideways or upside down. When this happens the mouse pad is also all messed up. Rebooting usually results in the screen righting itself BUT everything is magnified.

I have automatic updates turned on and I suspect the latest update is doing this. The only way to fix it is to do a system restore. I doubt I have a virus because I run spybot all the time, I have zonelabs firewall and have an antivirus product running which is up to date.

Does anyone have a clue whats going on. I can not find any relevant information by googling.

I hope I am in the correct forum.
