enter key not working on laptop...
Hello,
a friend of mine has a dell running on windows vista, that he wants restored to factory settings....i reboot, press F8 to get to the proper screen, everything goes great...only problem is that the enter key doesnt work!!! i can go down to the right option but i can't press enter...help please!!! is there a way to reset it without going through the dos prompt? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Plug in a USB keyboard. If that works, you're going to need to replace the internal keyboard.

so there's no way to take it back to factory settings (like it was when he got it) without going through that dos prompt? thank you! i've been searching everywhere for hours, hoping there was another way, but i guess he'll just have to wait to wipe it out until he can get a usb keyboard. thank you :)
