Earphones Not Working on Laptop?

Hello,

I have sound coming out of my laptop speaker but no sound from my headphone jack. I tried to see if enabling from my Audio manager would help. But the headphones won't show up at the list. I have already tried several cheap earphones ranging up to 15$. So I don't think it's the earphones. I think I am missing a driver I can't find. It looks as if it doesn't recognize my headphones being there. Is the jack possibly broken?
