Dell Inspiron 15 7567 grey screen

Help!!!

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7567 1050 TI Ver.

My problem is that when am closing my laptop screen (not shutting down) like putting it on sleep mode. Then opening it back back i get a grey screen. After i get the grey screen i can't really do much after that, my only option is holding the power button til it shuts down. My friend has the same laptop as me and he has this problem too.I don't really know what the cause of this problem maybe its not new windows update but i don't think so cause some people i know don't have the problem that i have.

I hope some of you people know how to fix it. Thank you in advance

If you're able to boot into windows, I suggest updating the System Setup(BIOS). Please following the instructions in the video below to safety installed latest BIOS version.

The gray screen appears to be cause by an out dated / corrupt Video driver. Lately, there have been a lot of complaints about gray / vertical screen. You're able to get into windows ?

Note: I'm hoping one of the forum Dell reps see this thread and report this problem to the Dell team.

If the vertical lines still appears after the BIOS update:

I suggest installing the latest Chipset and Video drivers in correct order or one by one.

Ok, the same thing happened to me yesterday – it might have been Windows update.

Since then I’ve restored Windows to factory setting and sleep mode started to work properly again, for a moment. After the updates to Windows downloaded and installed the problem came back again.

Also the problem started for everyone (me, original poster and user ellieS7 - en.community.dell.com/.../20023673 ) yesterday after update.

Hopefully next Windows update fixes it.

It look as though the Intel HD Graphics 530 Driver (Version 22.20.16.4735) that Microsoft pushing in their windows update isn't compatible with a older BIOS version on the system. Please check out the link below:

Yes, thank you for your help! I just needed to update the bios to fix the problem.

Yes, I had the older bios. That was causing the problem but i updated it and it works fine now. Thanks for the help!
