D600 CRT/LCD Button

Hello,

I do not understand what the CRT/LCD (F8 without pressing the Fn key) button on my D600 button does. I can not seem to find help documents on it, and when I press the button, absolutely nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas.

It does nothing if you only press F8. If you have an external monitor or projector attached to the portable you can press Fn+F8 to activate the VGA port and send the video signal to the monitor.

Press it once to activate the laptop LCD and the monitor simultaneously,
Press it again to turn the LCD off so that only the monitor is displaying picture.
Pressing it the 3rd time disables the external monitor again and brings the signal back to the LCD only again.
