Charging Laptop from a 12 volt system
I am going to a cabin in a few days that is powered by solar panels which lead into a 12 volt electrical system for the cabin. It has regualr plugins on the wall, etc, except they are 12 volt intead regualr AC power. the lights and appliances all work on a 12 volt system.
Is there a charger/adapter that will plug into a regular wall socket (12 volt) and charge a Dell Studio laptop? It would be like the car cigarette lighter chargers but with a wall socket plugin instead of the cigarette lighter plugin.
Don't many foreign countries run homes on 12 volt systems? What do they do?

You would need a DC to DC converter since your laptop needs more than 12VDC to run. My 110L requires 19V.

Also
You need to an adapter for wall socket to cigarette lighter receptable. You might have to make your own.
