Boot from USB

i have an ultra-book with no CD-ROM so i used a program (imgburn) to make an image from my windows CD then i used (RUFUS) to make this image bootable on my flash drive.
after that when i restart my laptop i didn't boot . i entered the bios but i don't know what cinfiguration should i do to make the flash drive boot .
i need to know how to make the laptop boot from the flash and how to know whether the flash is bootable or not

If the system is windows 8, the flash drive must be set up as GPT in order to be able to boot the system.

Did you set the drive up this way?

It isn't clear what you are trying to -- let's start there.  What OS is on the system now?  What is the purpose of the flash drive?  Rescue and recovery?  Installing another OS?

the installed OS is windows 8 , the purpose of the flash drive is to setup another edition of windows 8 (windows * professional ).

The only way to boot USB is CSM Legacy NON SECURE BOOT.

Requirements

To create a bootable 64 Bit  Windows 8.1 USB drive you will need the following:

  • 8 GB or larger USB drive;
  • Windows 8.1  ISO file and product key
  • A device that is running Windows.

http://betanews.com/2013/10/21/download-the-windows-8-1-iso-using-a-windows-8-key-and-some-simple-trickery/

You need an ISO and the Windows DVD Tool.

choose to download an ISO file

(so that you can create a bootable file from a DVD or USB flash drive)

To install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool:

  1. Click to open the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool installation file.

  2. When you are prompted to either save the file to disk or run it, choose Run.

  3. Follow the steps in the setup dialogs. You'll have the option to specify where to install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

NOTE: You need to be an administrator on the computer you are installing the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool on. The tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher.

System requirements

  • Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)

  • Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)

  • 50MB of free space on your hard drive

  • DVD-R drive or 4GB removable USB flash drive

For Windows XP users

The following applications must be installed prior to installing the tool:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed. It can be downloaded here.

  • Microsoft Image Mastering API v2 must be installed. It can be downloaded here.

You don't need to reload to upgrade from 8 to 8 Pro - all you need is the license key for 8 (use the "add features" in Windows 8 -- see below).

If you must boot and do a reload, the install flash drive must be setup as GPT (see the documentation  you linked for Rufus for details on how to do that).
