Bluetooth headsets for builtin Dell Bluetooth

I have the new Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones and had a similar problem with not being able to connect them to my Latitude D620.  I had an older version of the Toshiba Bluetooth stack from a Toshiba bluetooth mouse, but had to revert back to the Windows XP Bluetooth stack to get my Treo 700WX to syncronize.  Anyway, today I downloaded the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Dell Bluetooth 350 version 4.00.22(D) from the Dell support drivers/downloads website (dell350bluetooth.EXE).  I uninstalled all previous bluetooth stack programs and then ran the .exe.  I then did a fresh pairing between the S9 and the computer and it worked great.  Make sure you enable the AV control in the BT settings. 

 

I can't us by BT mouse or connect by Treo however at the same time the S9 is playing music; it wrecks the sound.

Regarding your inquiry, for the problem described, could be a compatibility problem, the information that we can provide you are instructions on how to set up your headset. Please be sure that the software on your computer use the same Bluetooth version which is 1.2.

1- Starting with the headset powered off, hold down the Call button for 6 to 10 seconds until the light stays lit. (Initially, the light will flash a few times before staying lit.)

2- With the light steadily lit,

3- Perform a search for device on the computer ( check your Bluetooth software instructions )

4- When the headset its detected, initiate the pairing process ( i.e. if you have an icon for the Bluetooth headset do a right click on the icon and select the option "pair device"). The Bluetooth passkey its four zeros ( 0000 ).

5- When the headset light flashes several times rapidly, it is paired.

6- Do a double click on the headset icon. It will start to connect. You will hear a tone on the headset indicating a attempt to connect to the computer, press the multifunction button for a second so the headset will connect.

7- You will need to go into your control panel and change the audio properties. On Windows XP: open the audio and sound devices (on control panel)> click on the Audio tab > change the predetermined device for sound playback and record to Bluetooth audio.

the device is discovered and Voice servcie is activated, I hear the tone in my headset and then connection drops

Dell support requested me to consult Motorola

I faced the same problem. Dell support asked me to contact Motorola for the problem. I am in dialog with them

I have the Motorola S9 working with the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Stack.   After reading many posts I decided to try using a the lastest Toshiba Stack 5.10.12 in place of the Microsoft one which I was using by default.  Once you install it you will find that all the previous problems of choppy sound will go away.

 

Before when I was using the Microsoft Stack I could not listen to any mp3 without the song being chopped to bits.  Now I am able to play any sounds without issue, even 320kbps. 

 

I'm running Vista 64 bit. 

I finally got my H300 to work with Dell 620 , though this is not the offical recommendation. The way it works is that you need to install Widcomm drivers which recognizes H300. The widcomm drivers are available for free download. Della dvises you that theyc annot support it but it worked for me.
