blow up and Burning smell from laptop but laptop is working fine

hi

last night while using my laptop (dell vostro 1510) it shut down unexpectedly but i  restarted it with normal settings without going to safe mode.without any problem. but after restart i found out that battery was almost dead (1% )i thought it was because of low battery that the system shut down so i plugged in the adapter and start browsing but after sometime i heard an explosion quite loud one but laptop did not shut down i shut down the laptop check it and found out that a burning smell was coming from processor fan when i restarted the laptop it worked fine battery was charging without any problem .system core temperatures are fine around 50 celcius device manager does not show any hardware change all the devices and drivers are working properly so was just wondering what could have gone wrong? should i check it with my local retailer?i am from pakistan and there is no official customer support here .thanks

From what I understand from your post it sounds like that just as long as this was an isolated issue then you should be fine.  How has the system been performing since this happened?  The temperatures sound about right for the system and the exhaust from the notebook can smell like is it burning sometimes.  Have you seen smoke pour from the system though? Is the notebook showing other signs of overheating, such as shutting down on its own and not being able to start up again until the system cools?  If the system is otherwise working fine and you have not had further symptoms the system is fine.
