Battery Light Rapidly Flashing Orange?

Hi!

I have a Dell Inspiron 5758.  I've had it since October of 2015. I've never had a problem with the battery, I run it on AC power and battery pretty consistently.

Just yesterday, I noticed that the battery indicator light was rapidly flashing orange and the laptop also powers down when I unplug the AC adapter.

The battery icon says it's at 67% (plugged in, not charging). I ran a couple tests:

1. Diagnostic test on Dell.com, under Product Support. Just gave me a warning icon for battery.

2. Dell Power Manager says "Error" under battery health.

I was reading that sometimes a BIOS update can fix this? I'm just confused as I've owned a couple Dell computers in the past and have NEVER had this issue before.

I run Adobe programs quite often, so I'm wondering if this performance could drain the battery life?

Any insight is appreciated.

You can click the link to download a bios  update. Yes, sometimes this will resolve the issue., If not, you may need to replace the battery.
