Anyone know if it is possible to use the fingerprint scanner of Latitude and Precision laptops using Windows 7?

I've three Dell laptops with fingerprint scanners: Precision m6600, Latitude D830, and D620. I've looked at the driver downloads for these laptops, the drivers for Vista can be installed and appear to be working correctly, but the software from Wave Technologies does not install with 64 bit windows 7. Any work arounds? Does Dell plan on supporting the fingerprint scanners with newer os's? I've heard that windows 7 is supposed to have its own biometric software, yet nothing happens at startup to show the scanners do anything.
