Adding more RAM

Hi,

I have a DEL Inspiron N4050 Core i3 laptop with 2GB RAM.

I think N4050 has 2 slots for RAM memory.

I would like to know can I add more RAM to it? I mean using both slots at the same time.

If yes how much more I can add?

The system likely shipped with two 1G modules - you'd need to remove one module (or both) to upgrade.

Hello Seyar,

Dell Inspiron N4050 supports maximum of 8GB Memory.

How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found here.

For more details, see Crucial Memory Advisor.

Thank you for your reply.

I have 64-bit Windows OS installed.

Actually I wanted to know can I add one more 2GB RAM memory in second slot of my PC alongside my 2GB RAM? or what?
