AC Adapter/Charger not working?

My charger isn't working for some reason? I have no idea what happened. When I plug it into the outlet, the green light blinks once. Earlier today and a few other times I plugged it in, and the green light stayed lit up, but it wasn't charging the laptop. I've had my charger/ac adapter replaced before several months ago. Can anybody tell me what's wrong? Do I need to replace it again? Should I get a new laptop?

If under warranty rush to DELL.

Go into BIOS setup (F2 on startup) and check if the AC adapter is listed by it's power rating (90Watt / 65 Watt)>

If it's listed as "unknown" - most likely the ID chip in the AC power adapter has died.

Test the AC power adapter in a similar laptop and do the same test, same result? Replace the adapter.

If not the same result, most likely the AC adapter identification circuirty on the Motherboard is dead. In rare cases this can be repaird, in most cases it's a MOBO replacement.
