Windows 11 Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 15-3567 with an Intel 7200U Processor

The Inspiron 15-3567 has an Intel 7200 U Processor with 2 cores, 4 threads, and a 2.5 ghz base frequency.  This processor meets the speed and core requirement for Windows 11.  Why isn't this computer listed as Windows 11 compatible?

Has anyone successfully installed Windows 11 on the Inspiron 15-3567?

The Windows PC health check software indicates that the Intel 7200U processor does not meet the Windows 11 requirement.  But the only requirement that this computer does not appear to meet is the name of the Intel processor on the Windows list; this computer has a dual core and is above the minimum base frequency.

A snip it from the Intel processor specification that shows the number of cores, threads, and base processor speed follows.  The entire specification for the Intel 7200U processor can be downloaded from Intel.com.

With just a couple of 7th generation exceptions, Windows 11 requirements start with the 8th generation of Core CPUs.  The 7200U Kaby Lake processor does not meet Windows 11 requirements.

While you can bypass the CPU check and get Windows 11 to install, it's not a supported configuration, and Microsoft has made it clear there may come Windows 11 updates that do enforce the CPU requirement, so for how long you'll be able to run Windows 11 on your system is unknown.

The online Inspiron 15 3567 support page clearly states for all that Windows 11 is not supported.
