Windows 11 shuts down and will not turn on until power is removed and battery depleted

Hi, I experienced twice the following event: my laptop completely blacks out and will not respond to any keystroke nor to long press of power button. The only thing that seems to be alive is USB ports still charging. So, I unplugged power adapter, connected a phone to usb port and waited until the laptop battery is fully drained. Only then I was able turn on the laptop. The events log shows multiple errors:

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR7

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR6

After first such event I restored the system to a previous point and disabled Windows updates. Still, a week later the second such event (as described above) happened again. What strange is I have SSD not HDD. For reference, I have Windows 11, Dell Inspiron 5502. Any ideas?

Have you ran the system diags on the system? If not, please do so to see if it shows any issues.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@DELL-Jesse L

Hi, Jesse, yes I run both Dell diagnostics and Windows own diagnostics with no problem found. The failure actually is random, that is the laptop may work for a few days without issues and then all of a sudden shut down. And yes, the product is out of warranty.
