upgrade wifi adapter

I have a Dell Inspiron 5567 Windows 10 with Intel dual band wireless AC 3165. This is limited to link speed 433/433 mbps. Can this adapter be updated to allow greater speed?

@cambridge02139  The Intel Wireless-AC 3165 uses an M.2 connector, which is the current standard for WiFi cards. As such, you can go up to an Intel 9260 if you want. I personally installed one into my older XPS 15 9530 and it worked perfectly. Do NOT get the 9560 though. That requires a CPU that uses CNVio, which basically involves the CPU having certain WiFi components built into it. The 9260 is essentially the 9560 with everything still “self-contained” on the card.

Of course the real world speeds you get will depend on a variety of factors, particularly your router and your distance from it, so don’t necessarily expect to get the advertised maximum speeds.

@Waqas Khattak  Pretty sure you posted your reply to the wrong thread here, since I've never posted in this thread.  But since I remember you from another thread, the AX200 likely will work.  The AX201 likely will not.

@jphughan do you mean to say that AX 200 won't work with 5567 ?. or Intel 9260 is the Max we can work with. TIA
