What operating system? That model cannot run Windows 10 since there are no windows 10 drivers available--especially the crucial chipset drivers. If you did install win 10, do a clean install of the previous OS--win 7--and use it that way until you can replace the computer.

I never use Dell's Support Assistant.
You should have installed Intel's HM57/HM67 Express Chipset Family Driver

Ok i got the assist thing to help and it told me i needed two drivers. I installed both as recommended and they still didnt activate my wifi and whats stranger is that when i goto the assist thing again and detect what drivers i need it still says those same two which i just installed as they told me to...

I'm not the most comp savvy guy but i'm definitely willing to listen to anything that can help. Ive installed the two recommended drivers but for some reason theyre not installed?

My definition of restored is different from yours it seems.
It appears you did a clean installation of Windows 7.
Install the chipset drivers then all the other drivers after that.

Ty everyone for the input and patience. I got the right drivers but i had to run them as admin in order for it to actually install and that did the trick.

That's odd.
I am always administrator on my own PCs, so I have not had to run them as admin.
