New Inspiron 5570 - Battery drain within 1 - 1,5 hours!
I recently purchased an Inspiron 5570 and I noticed that the battery drains very fast within 1,5 hours in Battery saver mode!. I checked all information on the support page already and I believe it must be an hardware error. Does anyone else experience this problem? Could it just be a faulty battery? Can i get a new battery with my warranty: Service Tag: Ship date: October 21, 2018 Country: Thailand Collect & Return Parts Only Warranty October 21, 2018 December 29, 2019 LIMITED TELEPHONE TECHNICAL PHONE SUPPORT October 21, 2018 December 29, 2019 Collect And Return October 21, 2018 December 29, 2019 Premium Support October 21, 2018 December 29, 2020 POW (Parts Only Warranty) October 21, 2018 December 30, 2020 NBD (Next Business Day on-site) October 21, 2018 December 30, 2020 What steps should I take? This is primarily a users helping users forum and not a direct line to Dell support. You will have to contact Dell support for your area to get warranty support.
However, if you are doing gaming with the laptop, battery drain is normal.

I didn't say it was only users. "Primarily". Been that way over the various versions of this forum since I started support on here 17 years ago. And contacting support for your location is the best option. Even if a Dell moderator responds they are going to refer you to support for your location.

Hi PeterBrakels,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Have you checked the battery health to determine if it's a hardware issue? Also, here is information from the Dell Knowledge Base you may find helpful:
How to Troubleshoot Dell Laptop Battery Issues
If you've tried all the troubleshooting, and still are unable to resolve this and, the system is under warranty, you may contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.
If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service request.
