Dell Inspiron 13 5310 fingerprint scanner & camera not working with Windows Hello

Dell Inspiron 13 5310 fingerprint scanner and camera not compatible with Windows Hello
My camera on my Inspiron 13 laptop has not worked for facial recognition with Windows Hello as a sign in option since day one. But now the fingerprint scanner is also not working with Windows Hello as a sign in option. It stopped working 2 days ago on 5/28/22. Anybody know how to fix this issue?

Well about a day before I posted this, there was a bios update. It was after that update that the fingerprint scanner stopped working. About 2 or 3 days after my post, the Dell support software suggested performing a scan for updates. The next day when I booted up the laptop, surprise, the fingerprint scanner started working. I'm not sure whether it was just "FM" or if the scan fixed the issue, but for now it's working again.

Model doesn't come with Infrared camera so Face Login using windows hello is not supported by design

About finger print reader its an optional feature  and model comes with an without it.

So if it didn't work from day one, I would suggest you to check the invoice if these features were part of your purchase. You can also visit Support.dell.com and enter your service tag > Go to Overview >> View my specs.
