Dell G5 15 Gaming Laptop not charging

Hey guys. My laptop is not charging no matter what I do. I tried draining the ac adapter by turning my computer off and back on and then unplugging it from the wall. I also checked the battery settings and it says that my battery condition is excellent. The only thing I see wrong is that whenever I plug in the charger, the charger light starts to dim and then goes back to being bright.

Look under Start Menu/Dell Power Manager

There you can select a custom plan for how low your battery must drain before it will start charging again. In the new Dell G5 5505 50% is the lowest setting that it will allow. So if it never drains down to 50% and it is plugged in to an outlet... the laptop will use the outlet power and your battery will remain at whatever level it is. If you unplug and use the battery until it drops to, let's say, 49%... the moment you reconnect to the outlet power, your laptop will begin to charge again until it reaches the UPPER limit that you have set in your custom power plan. Then it will continue to use outlet power and your battery will cease to charge. I hope this helps and someone else can get a good night's sleep instead of searching and searching, like I did last night. Stay blessed! ~Rob
