Inspiron 5400 AIO w/ Intel IRIS Xe graphics and 4k
Inspiron 5400 AIO
I have an Inspiron 5400 AIO
- Intel 11th Gen Core i5 113567@2.4 GHz
- 12 GB RAM
- Intel Iris XE GPU
- HDMI cable rated at 8k capability.
According to Intel, the GPU should be able to push 4k (4096x2160 at 60Hz over HDMI ) but when I connect to a 4k display the most it reaches is 1920x1080. Driver is up to date, according to SupportAssist.
Are the AIO GPU cards blocked from handling 4k for some reason? Not sure what I'm missing and why it won't work. Suggestions are appreciated.

If you can't get higher resolution than FHD, it could be restricted by the specs Dell uses with HDMI port.
Despite the capability of the recent GPU or quality cable being used, if your machine has an HDMI 1.4b port, you can not get 4k resolution bandwidth.
