Note: there is error in Dell spec for 3910 psu rating where it mentioned 240/300w has 8+4+4 pin. Actual photo of 240/300w psu for 3910 show 8+4 pin.
Dell made this error because it also makes 240w, 260w, 300w psu of 8+4+4 pin for Optiplex 7000/5000. And Dell makes 180w, 240w, 300w of 8+4 pin for Optiplex 3000.
assumption: Inspiron 3910 shares 8+4 pin psu with low tier Optiplex 3000.
both 3910 and 3000 motherboard have 8+4 pin.
Neither model above share psu with mid/high tier Optiplex 5000/7000 which have 8+4+4 pin motherboard.
Dell documentation has confused itself as well as the user community.
