Windows 2008 maximum optimal lun size on DMX-3
Is there any recommendation for the largest optimal DMX-3 meta lun size for Windows 2008 X64 sp2 host?
We are currently using 101GB meta luns on our Windows 2008 host for our SQL 2005 database which is about 3TB,this translates to about 30 luns.
We would like to decrease the number of Windows mount points by using larger lun sizes.

maximum device size on DMX3-4 is ~64G. Maximum number of meta members is 255 so you can create a 65G x 255 = 16T device. You are correct, MS Clustering does not support dynamic drive, so if you think you LUN will be greater than 2TB ..make sure to format it as GPT.

We are building Windows 2008 cluster server for SQL 5. What is the largest lun size for DMX-4. Our Database is expected to grow to close to 3TB. I was told that we cannont use dynamic volumes for Windows 2008 Cluster. Please HELP!
