Unable to generate HEAT for ESX servers.
Hi All,
We are planning on upgrading the firmware on our DMX3 from 5773 to 5774. Before we do this, EMC recommended to patch all the hosts connected to the box. We have a few ESX servers SAN connected to DMX3 and used a tar file (suggested by EMC) to generate EMC grab output files for those ESX servers. When i tried to generate HEAT report, it's throwing up the following error:
- Error:This is VM-Support Script. VMHeat only supports output of ESX-EMCGrab for ESX servers
Here are the details:
- ESX version :- 3.5.0
- tar file used to generate Grab :-
- grab output file :- esx-2009-11-04--16.09.25528.tgz
Please suggest me how to proceed on getting HEAt reports for the servers. Am I going the right way in getting HEAT reports for ESX servers, also let me know if I'm using the correct tar file to get the Grab ouputs of the servers. Thanks in advance.
