Solaris, issue with attaching EMC devices

Hi Marty,

did you find a solution for your problem?? Can you please provide it??

in fact im connecting an EMC CX320 to a SUN T5220 Server, after it i do the Powerpath configuration on all SAN Servers,
i need to create the volumes on the EMC Disk Arrays, this step will create the disks named emcpower0...,

this step is not succeeding and im stuck here with the following error:
Not enough disks of 11 GB available on the system to continue...exiting!

in addition my vxdisk list is showing disks in error state

ANy help from your side??

Thanks

Solaris is a different animal than AIX, what is failover mode set to. Was DMP enabled/installed with Veritas ? (If you are using PowerPath, there is no need for DMP)

I have branched this off into its own thread as its unrelated to AIX issue in previous thread...

The error that you state:

"Not enough disks of 11 GB available on the system to continue...exiting!"

does not sound like a PowerPath error, sound like a Solution Enabler-type error when creating LUNs, can you post what command produces this error?
