Redhat 5.6 and SYM VCM disks

Is anyone else having trouble with Redhat connected to a Sym plus using Powerpath? When Powerpath is installed there is no way to blacklist the VCM disks from the host. Now, the system doesn't boot. What do I do with these pain-in-the-youknowwhat disks?

Thanks.

not a whole lot you can do with them, unless you can unmap them from the FA. If you have other systems already using that FA then unmapping VCM will not be a good idea as it will change devices names on all systems connected to that FAs.  We do not have problems with VCM devices unless my linux admins are trying to setup boot from san or trying to re-install the OS.  When they try to do that i have to drop the zones to the FA so Anaconda will not hang.
