ODM on AIX
Hi,
I am new to the AIX. Do I need to load the ODM defintions on the AIX Box the one I am going to attach to the Clariion. What benefits I would see if I have EMC ODM packages loaded on the server with Native MPIO. I will not have Powerpath on the Box.
I have gone through the host connectivity Guide and lists the available ODM versions for the AIX on the FTP site but not able to see the requirements of ODM and its benefits.

EMC KB article emc144918 provides a description what the EMC ODM package contains and provides.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your Response. I am not getting details from the primus on:
a) How does this package helps the Disk Presentation to the host
b) What advantages AIX sees if use this and what not if we dont have it.
c) What is the impact on the Future upgrades.
