how can I to know if the HBA is working with Qlogic DRIVER or SUN DRIVER when the host has both DRIVERs installed

how can I to know if the HBA is working with Qlogic DRIVER or SUN DRIVER when the host has both DRIVERs installed

Hi,

When you are using a Qlogic driver the HBA is a "qla".

When you use a SUN driver it becomes a "qlc"".

With SUN driver target of the ctd is the HBA's wwn.

Hello,

   If you would like to see which HBA is logging where you can:

1) Check the messages logs file from the last reboot, this should show the HBA logging in.

(Follow the qlc,qla naming conventions seen above)

2) If you have an grabfile from the host, extract it and under INQ have a look at the inq -hba textfile. This will list the HBA's and where they are logged in.

3) If you would like to list the HBA's try the fcinfo hba-port command
