Hidden devices from EMC console
Hi,
I have a V-MAX with virtual provisioning.
Totally I have 5000+ tdevs listing from from EMC console.
But while using SYMAPI I am gettign more number of tdes compared to EMC console.
Please explain me why we have a mismatch in the tdev count.

I got the answer. The hidden devices are Meta members. These are not shown by EMC console.
Only the meta head devices from a group can be shown.

when you said EMC console, what exact software are you using?

I am also not sure how they configured. But i have a link to see the details about a vmax disk array. This was configured by test team. I also try to get the details.
