BCV device creation

Hi Friends ,

Is it possible to create new BCV devices with following symconfigure script.?

create dev count=10, size=36828, emulation=FBA, config= BCV+R-5, disk_group=13 data_member_count=3;

If you are trying to create RAID5 3+1 BCV devices, I think it's the right script ..

You can always run "symconfigure preview" to verify that your syntax is correct and there are no major technical issues.

Obviously there are a lot of things to consider like do you have enough space and enough redundancy to be able to create the amount of Raid-5 devices you want in disk group 13.

You may need to run "symconfigure prepare" to get the analysis related to space considerations and redundancy - I can't remember if preview will check for space availability or if it is more of a syntax/option checker.

No harm in running both preview/prepare to confirm the commands will function.
