BCV convert back to NeverEstablished

Ok, the unix guys are wining because they want all unused BCVs to show up as "NeverEstab" when they do a BCV list. Is there a command to take a decommisioned BCV and have its state go back to "NeverEstab"? Thanx in advance.

Its not possible to return a BCV to "NeverEstab" using host software.

The best you can do is "symmir cancel", which will clear the STD-BCV relationship in the Symm, leaving the BCV in a state of "SplitNoInc" (ie incremental establish not possible).

Best Regards,
Marc

i figured we save EMC a few bytes of precious disk space (hold on..they are a storage company) by not retyping that same thing over and over again :)

You already know that I need a big car .. and that EMC needs a lot of money to pay my car .. ;-) .. So it's OK to waste [disk] space .. :D

Dynamox "big car" does not mean "fast car" .. :-)

This is what I'd call a BIG car ;-) (if you prefer, a small van)

Yes, but the disk space being wasted is EMC's.

Doesn't that cut into your potential for profit? *lol*

Hey, I work for an insurance company and most of our clients have better coverage (group health and dental) than the company offers it's employees.

For example, we don't get a health card to cover drug purchases (which most of our customers do) so we have to pay for them up front and submit for reimbursement. They claim this keeps the cost of our insurance down because there are a certain percentage of people they know will either lose the receipts or forget to submit them. Nice, eh?

Whooops .. I have to ask Forum Admins to delete my previous post !! :D

BTW .. do you know that we have a quota on our mailboxes ?? And that our fileservers are periodically cleaned up (just not to waste space) ?? Sometime I think we don't sell storage !! :-)
