alert --- Volume not ready

today we got an alert for one of remote standard symmetrix device , saying
volume not ready warning ..i know remote devices should be of WD state, but not
this not ready state , so do i need to rectify this ??
( like change that status to ready ) , actully we are not using remote standard devices, may be for every 2 months we do some failover and failback tests to test those devices..

Remote control host is windows box ..where the DR ( srdf device group ) log files are located in windows..like in aix : /usr/emc/DR/logs

thank you,

do you have BRBCVs at the remote site ? Those well go Not Ready when they are established. Or maybe unprotected BCVs when disk failure occurs.

Right , we have BRBCVs ..
i have another critical error saying
symmtrix XXXX: KB/sec read is 84970.546218

whats that number means i/o activity per some unit of time ( sec /min ) ..
i have whole bunch of alerts and i go through each of them , i try to
remove specific alert one by one ...i didn't find any thing in order to clear
one thing at a time , i rightclick the alert in control center GUI..i tried close and refresh
option , still those not working to remove the specific alert entry..how to acomplish this ??

thank you,
