AIX using more CPU
We have a AIX host which is connected to clariion. I checked on the clariion and everything looks good. what might be the problem on the AIX host which uses high CPU cycles. What information do i need to check on the Host to troubleshoot this. The DBA are not able to run any commands on the AIX.

I'm afraid I have more questions than answers for you...
Whan you say the host is using high CPU cycles, what are you comparing it to? Ar you saying that there has been a leap in CPU cycles consumed?
In what way do you suspect that the storage is somehow related to the CPU usage?
Have you run any AIX tools to show CPU and which process is using the CPU?
I suggest you run topas to see where your CPU resources are being consumed.

Is PowerPath installed? Is emcp_mond process using the CPU cycles by any chance? If this is the case see emc204621
