Ssd upgrade

I replaced my hard drive with a ssd due to hdd failure which I am very upset about because I think a hard drive should last more than 4 years. Anyway the new system works but it tells me the is no hard drive sometimes and sometimes it shuts itself down. If someone can help me i would be grateful,
