Responding via e-mail

I noticed we can now respond to a thread by replying to the e-mail that gets sent out, not sure if that was possible or not in the powerlink forums. My company puts a footer/disclaimer on our emails as they go out. Does anyone know if that would be put into the thread? I can imagine that would get a bit annoying.

Hi,

We've enabled the reply by email functionality. Check if it works for you now. You will need to reply to new notifications - replying to the old notifications will not work.

Try replying to this message by email to see if it works.

Thanks,

Aashish

emc-developer@sgaur.hosted.jivesoftware.com: this appears automatically when I press "Reply". Make sure you don't mess with the subject line.

yes, that's what I've been getting but still no go

I guess the fact that it doesnt work for me has to do with the EMC EMail setup since I'm replying from inside EMC

It does. That worked for me inside EMC. I replied directly to the post.

Hi,

Min doesn't work either, the reply always goes to:

emc-developer@sgaur.hosted.jivesoftware.com

I tried with two different subjects:

  • [Coffee Break] New message: "Re: Responding via e-mail" [feji5-4zf-1OvC]
  • RE: [Coffee Break] New message: "Re: Responding via e-mail" [feji5-4zf-1OuN]

For the email body I use:

This is my test, I delete the whole content of the replied email and left only the end part.

--end--

Regards.

This functionality is not functional - broken since migration. We are still trying to resolve this.

Thanks for your patience,

Aashish
