OpenManage Enterprise update

so I remember manually updating before but they must of changed something. hoping someone here can help so i'm trying to update ome to version 3.4 because its not auto detecting the online version. i have the file on my d drive. these are the instructions on their site

Update from an internal network share
Download the OME 3.4 full update file and save on a network share preserving the same folder structure that can be accessed by the console.
Select Manual and Offline.
Enter the local path information where the downloaded files are saved, and then click Check Now. Example paths: nfs://IP Address/Folder_Name (only supported from OME 3.1), http://IP Address/Folder_Name, https://IP Address/Folder_Name. The available update version with a brief description of the new features is displayed.
To validate a connection to the catalog click Test now. If the connection to the catalog is established, a Connection Successful message is displayed. If the connection to the shared address or the catalog file path is not established, Connection to path failed error message is displayed. This step is optional.
Click Update Now. An update is initiated.

is there a way to update from a local drive I tried to do https://127.0.0.1/d$ but that fails. 

if it doesn't support updating from a local drive I have just one word WHY?

thats like the first priority when updating. 1. local 2. network. 3. online

so i also tried to input nfs. 

my nfs requires authentication to get in but when I try inputting a nfs share theres no authentication field to input?

can someone point me in the right direction thanks
