Moving thread to top every time there is a response
In other forums I use, every time there is a response, the thread moves back to the top. This helps keeps it fresh, so one can get an answer. It also makes it easy, if one hasn't received an answer, because one can add a quick question, which does not create a new thread, but pushes the issue back to the top. When the answer is found, there are no new posts to the thread, so the thread drops off as more new posts are received. I've noticed that this does not occur in this forum and I have a post from last week that is already on the second page. I am therefore concerned that the post will not receive an answer with the solution and this solution is vital to our process. The only way I can think to get around this issue is to create a new thread, so it will again be back at the top. I hate to do this, since at a minimum it adds clutter. Therefore, I would prefer to just have the one thread. However, the need for an answer/solution, supersedes all the negative aspects of reposting. This leads me to two questions:
1. What do you all recommend to get around this issue?
1a. If the answer is to repost, then what is a considerate time before reposting?
2. What is your all's position on changing the way the threads display (e.g. most recent responses go to the top)?
2a. If you think this is the way to go, how long would it take?

IMHO, if you are not getting any responses, it usually means that people do not have anything to suggest - there are many instances where people are tackling challenges that no one has tackled before. Thus, moving it to the top of the forums may not change things. Personally, I would consider it annoying to keep seeing a thread pop up at the top of the forum if I (and no one else) had anything suggestions to offer. If this need is critical, you should submit a case to Tech Support.

the forum does sort descending by date of latest post. Let me know if you do not see this occurring.
Thanks,
