How to locate Celerra contract info on Powerlink?

I inherited a Celerra NS700 from a previous admin and need to find our what our service contract covers and when it expires. I've found nothing on the Powerlink site- I must be looking in the wrong place ?!?

What's the best way for me to find this information online?

Hi,

First of all - welcome to the EMC Support Forums. Hope you 'll find it useful, interesting and worth participating in it regularly.

Your question may be better answered in the "Celerra" Forum - I hope one of our administrator will move this thread to "Celerra" forum.

I may suggest you to find out the Serial Number (Top Level serial number) for this NS700 (You will find the serial number on the front of the very first data mover enclosure) and call EMC Support desk (1-800-SVC-4-EMC i.e. 1-800-782-4362) to check whether the box is under any service contract with EMC by giving the Celerra Serial Number (must start with APM000 .....).

Thanks,
Sandip

Hello,

Unfortunately right now we do not display contract information on Powerlink. We are looking into providing this capability but I do not have a time frame. We understand how this would be extremely useful for you.

Thanks for the help- at least I know not to look further on Powerlink!
I've placed a call to support, who referred me to the Contract Administrator for Illinois.

I of course second the motion to have this information available online!
