XPS 400 maximum HDD capacity?

What is the maximum capacity for a primary hard disk drive in an XPS 400/Dimension 9150?  I assume flashing the newest BIOS A07 is a prerequisite.

For storage drives, with Vista or later, it's any size available. For any XP drives and Vista or later boot drives, it's 2.2tb.

Depends on whether you use a PCI-E controller or not.

Like a Western Digital WD30EZRX Green 3TB SATA Hard Drive Internal with PCI-E HBA (Host Bus Adapter) Card and 64 bit OS.

XP support is being dropped in five weeks, so it's prudent to upgrade to something more modern. My old Dimension 3100 doesn't need any special controller cards to recognize large drives, thanks to Windows 8.1 32-bit. :)
